Two of Europe’s leading clubs are closely monitoring the situation of Christopher Nkunku, the French striker who is unhappy with his current role at Chelsea.
The forward is contemplating a transfer to a new team in January.
With ten goals in 17 competitive matches, one might assume that Christopher Nkunku is off to a fantastic start this season with Chelsea.
While that is somewhat true, the reality is that most of his goals have come in less prestigious competitions: three in the Carabao Cup and six in the Conference League, including both the qualifying rounds and the first round.
In the Premier League, where Chelsea typically fields their strongest lineup, Nkunku has taken on a more peripheral role.
The 26-year-old has appeared in ten matches but has only been in the starting XI once. Ironically, he is still the top scorer for the London club across all competitions.
On the lookout for Christopher Nkunku
It’s no surprise that, as reported by L’Equipe, the player is thinking about a change of scenery during the winter transfer window.
