Viktor Gyökeres: His Price Reavealed!

Published

on

Although his release clause is set at €100m, Sporting Lisbon might allow Viktor Gyökeres to leave for a lower amount, likely between €60m and €70m.

However, it appears they won’t entertain negotiations until the end of the season.

With fourteen goals and four assists in just 14 official matches this season, Viktor Gyökeres has established himself as one of the most sought-after forwards in Europe.

Rather than fading in his second season, the Swede has proven to be an indispensable player for Sporting de Portugal.

It’s no surprise that many clubs have been eyeing him for months.

Yet, all potential suitors have faced strong resistance from the Lisbon club, which has firmly held onto the €100 million release clause.

SportingCP to Consider Selling Viktor Gyökeres  for €60-70M Next Summer

This unwavering position from the Portuguese side may change significantly next summer.

According to Florian Plettenberg, there is an understanding that the Sporting Lisbon management will consider his departure at the end of the season.

At that point, they would be open to letting him go for between €60 and €70 million.

If the Nordic player can maintain his current form, it seems likely that the next summer transfer window will be when he makes a move.

Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Chelsea have already expressed interest in signing him, and it wouldn’t be surprising if other major clubs across Europe also joined the race.
