Manchester United’s new manager, Ruben Amorim from Portugal, has urged the board to consider signing Danilo, a defender currently with Juventus.

With his contract set to expire this summer, the Italian club may be open to his departure as early as January.

After leading Sporting de Portugal to a league victory over Sporting de Braga (2-4), the coach will be able to take charge of an English team that he signed with on November 1st.

As anticipated, media speculation has been rife regarding potential signings the coach might pursue.

The Daily Mirror reports that Amorim has already encouraged the Red Devils’ board to look into acquiring a new defender, specifically Brazilian Danilo.

The reason

The coach aims to bolster a defense he feels is underperforming and sees Danilo’s versatility and extensive experience as valuable assets.

Additionally, he appreciates that bringing the player to Old Trafford could be done without incurring significant costs.

At 33 years old, Danilo’s contract with Juventus expires next summer, and it appears that to avoid losing him for nothing, the board at the Vecchia Signora may be willing to entertain offers for a modest fee.

So far, the Brazilian has made 207 official appearances for the Bianconeri, contributing nine goals and 13 assists.
