on

FC Barcelona is eager to sign a new striker for the upcoming season.

While Erling Haaland and Viktor Gyökeres are their top targets, the Catalan club is also monitoring Bundesliga’s leading scorer, Egyptian Omar Marmoush.

Acquiring a top-tier striker is one of FC Barcelona’s primary goals for the next season.

The club aims to find a player who can effectively succeed veteran Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, who is 36 years old.

Initially, the club’s main target is Erling Haaland from Manchester City, who is 24.

However, securing his transfer appears nearly impossible at the moment, as Barcelona’s financial situation cannot support such a significant deal.

Omar Marmoush Emerges as an Alternative to Viktor Gyökeres

More or less this is what makes the signing of Viktor Gyökeres (26 years old) very complicated

The Swedish player is enjoying an outstanding season with Sporting de Portugal and has a release clause set at €100 million.

Additionally, he is in high demand, with several top Premier League clubs and financially strong teams like Paris Saint-Germain vying for his signature.

This might explain why Omar Marmoush’s name has started to gain traction.

According to Sport, the club’s management views him as a versatile player capable of playing in all three attacking positions, making him a suitable candidate for the left wing, which they also aim to bolster.

The 25-year-old Egyptian currently plays for Eintracht Frankfurt, where he has netted 14 goals and provided 10 assists in 16 official matches this season. His contract runs until 2027.
