Ruben Amorim already knows how much money he will have for new signings at Manchester United

Recently appointed new Manchester United manager, Portuguese Ruben Amorim will have a fairly quiet transfer window with the Red Devils. The latest information confirms the budget he will have available to add new players.

The upcoming match against Ipswich will mark the first time Manchester United fans see Rúben Amorim in the dugout at Old Trafford.

Following a disappointing two-year tenure under Erik ten Hag, the team is eager to move forward and shake off a prolonged period of stagnation.

As we await his initial thoughts at tomorrow’s press conference, the former Sporting de Portugal coach has indicated his intention to maintain the 3-4-3 formation he utilized in Lisbon, which means some new signings will be essential to tailor the squad to his style.

However, the upper management at Manchester United has already cautioned Amorim: he must proceed with caution and keep spending to a minimum.

The significant expenditures from previous transfer windows have taken a toll, leaving little room for maneuver.

In fact, 250 staff members have been laid off, and even the contract linking Sir Alex Ferguson as an ambassador and manager has been terminated.

As reported by the Manchester Evening News, Amorim will have a budget of just £25m (€30m).

Of course, certain sales would allow this budget to be inflated, which is quite small for a club of Manchester United’s stature.

It’s important to note that there are seven players the Portuguese coach is not keen on (Evans, Lindelof, Maguire, Casemiro, Malacia, Eriksen, and Antony), though not all of them are expected to leave.

This situation may prove inadequate to cover the cost of signing the highly sought-after striker Viktor Gyökeres, for whom Sporting is demanding a hefty fee.
