Atletico Madrid Transfer Overhaul: Berta’s Exist, Bucero’s Rise

Atletico de Madrid is getting ready for the departure of the individual who has shaped the club for several seasons.

Recent reports indicate that Andrea Berta will bid farewell to the team at the end of the current season.

Last summer, Atletico de Madrid was at the center of a very busy transfer market.

The red-and-white team completed the exit of a good number of players and also invested a huge amount of money in order to recruit several important players such as Julian Alvarez, Conor Gallagher, Robin Le Normand or Alexander Sorloth. To these we must add Clement Lenglet and Juan Musso, who are also on loan.

This could be one of Andrea Berta’s last “services” to the club from the capital of Spain.

This is what can be deduced from the information that journalist Tomeu Maura has revealed in El Club de Uria , where he pointed out that this will be the last season of the current sporting director at Atletico de Madrid.

He took over the sporting direction as the primary decision-maker in 2017, and during his tenure, he has facilitated significant signings like Antoine Griezmann, Jan Oblak, and Rodri Hernandez, although his recent performance has not been as impressive.

With his departure, the importance of Carlos Bucero will likely increase even further.

He was already key in several departures of player that occurred last summer and has given the club a new lease of life.
