€90M Offer: Will Khvicha Kvaratskhelia Make the Move?

This morning, Italian media reported that PSG continues to monitor Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who has yet to renew his contract with Napoli.

The Parisian club is taking tangible steps, having already initiated discussions with the Italian side for this winter transfer window. While the interest in Kvaratskhelia isn’t new, it has emerged again in an unexpected way.

For over a year, the winger’s name has been associated with PSG. Last summer, the club made a serious attempt to acquire him from Napoli.

However, fans of Calcio know that negotiating with Aurelio De Laurentiis is quite challenging.

The deal fell through because Napoli demanded a hefty fee and aimed to persuade their star player to extend his contract. This was also a request from the new coach, Antonio Conte, who had just taken over.

Off the field, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s situation remains unchanged. The Italian club presented an intriguing offer to extend his contract, but he has yet to respond.

Reports indicate that the player is seeking a salary of at least €7 million per year.

Despite his earlier decision to not play for the club, president De Laurentiis reportedly made a new proposal starting at €5 million annually, with a gradual increase to €7 million in the following years. However, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has not yet replied.

PSG’s Interest in Khvicha Kvaratskhelia

On the field, the 23-year-old forward has struggled this season, managing only 5 goals and 3 assists in 19 matches.

Although he has faced some physical issues recently, it appears he has lost some of his competitive edge.

This morning, local newspaper Il Roma reported that Antonio Conte would not be opposed to selling him for around €90 million.

According to Italian sources, PSG has maintained regular communication with the player and his representatives. The French club remains hopeful of signing him, if feasible, this winter. This information was confirmed earlier this afternoon.

According to Dario As, PSG is reportedly in discussions with Napoli about acquiring the Georgian international, who has made 40 appearances and scored 17 goals.

An official offer could be on the way soon. Footmercato.net mentions that PSG has included Milan Skriniar in their proposal to lower the transfer fee, along with a significant cash amount. However, the high salary of the Slovenian defender is a concern, as he expects PSG to bridge the salary gap.

The Decision Ahead for Napoli

Now, the decision lies with Napoli, who must determine the future of Kvara. With a contract running until 2027, the Georgian poses a real challenge for the Italian club’s management. Luis Enrique’s side is eager to capitalize on this opportunity and secure the talented winger.

If Kvaratskhelia opts to join PSG, it would be a major acquisition for the French team, enhancing their attacking lineup with a young and vibrant player.

For Napoli, parting with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia could be a setback, but the financial gain might allow them to strengthen other positions in the squad.
