While Manchester United has yet to officially confirm Erik ten Hag’s dismissal, they are actively exploring various options for a new manager. One candidate is starting to emerge as a frontrunner.
The speculation surrounding his move to take over the Manchester United dugout continues to mount. Erik ten Hag’s future hangs in the balance after last weekend’s painful 3-0 home defeat to Tottenham and any slip-up in the upcoming matches could cost him his job for good.
Over the last few days there has been much talk about possible alternatives to replace the Dutch coach, although the final identity of the new coach is still unknown. ‘Sun Sport‘ has reported on the leading candidates who could take charge if Ten Hag is let go. Thomas Tuchel is the top choice
The names being mentioned include Ruud van Nistelrooy, Thomas Tuchel, Gareth Southgate, Kierran McKenna, and Graham Potter. Notably, the English media has identified Tuchel as the primary favorite for the role. Last summer, there were already discussions about him taking over, but he opted to stay out of the limelight for a while.
It appears that the Red Devils are once again making a push for a new coach in hopes of turning their fortunes around. Will they be successful?
