Despite having the impressive duo of Lamine Yamal and Raphinha, the Catalan side aims to enhance their squad depth and provide more tactical flexibility for their coach, Hansi Flick.

According to the newspaper Sport, the name of Nico Williams, a player who was already being sought last summer, is still on the club’s agenda .

The Navarrese player is still under contract with Athletic Club, but his termination clause, close to €60 million, is considered affordable.

Other alternatives for barcelona

Following Williams, two players are highly regarded by both the board and coaching staff, though they may come with a hefty price tag.

These are Portuguese forward Rafael Leao (AC Milan, 25 years old) and Georgian talent Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (Napoli, 23).

The willingness of these attackers to join Camp Nou could work in Barcelona’s favor.

Lastly, the sporting management is monitoring two players seen as potential market opportunities: Mohamed Salah (Liverpool, 32) and Leroy Sane (Bayern Munich, 28).

Both the Egyptian and the German have contracts that expire in June, and if they do not sign renewals, they could switch teams without any transfer fee.
