Since joining in the summer of 2023, Murillo has emerged as Nottingham Forest’s key defensive leader and one of the most dependable centre-backs in the Premier League.
The South American talent has adapted well to English football, already racking up 47 official appearances, contributing one goal and two assists.
As expected, his excellent progress has not gone unnoticed. In fact, for several weeks now, the footballer has been linked with clubs of the calibre of Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Atlético de Madrid, FC Barcelona and Real Madrid .

In today’s edition, the newspaper Sport reports that both the Catalans and the Merengues are still closely following the progress of the former Corinthians player.
Barcelona views him as a valuable addition for the future, while Real Madrid sees him as a potential immediate fix for their defensive issues.
If either club decides to pursue him, they will face challenging negotiations with Forest.
The São Paulo native’s contract extends until June 2028, and it’s clear that the club’s management will only consider letting him go for a significant fee.
