The impressive start to the season by Brazilian defender Gleison Bremer has caught the attention of Premier League clubs. Both Manchester United and Liverpool are reportedly eyeing the Juventus player.
After six Serie A games, Juventus are second in the table, just one point behind leaders Napoli. The Bianconeri have built their remarkable start on sensational defensive solidity, which has so far allowed them not to concede a single goal in the league.
This solid defense has prompted interest from two major Premier League teams in Bremer, who has been a key figure in Juventus’ backline. The 27-year-old has played every minute of the matches so far.
Manchester United and Liverpool on the Hunt for Gleison Bremer
Journalist Rudy Galleti reports that Manchester United and Liverpool are the clubs most interested in Bremer. Both teams struggled to strengthen their defense during the last summer transfer window.
Having renewed his contract until 2029 last August, negotiating for the Brazilian international (who has five caps) will be challenging, as Juventus is likely to demand a significant fee for his release. Since joining the club in the summer of 2022, Bremer has made 90 official appearances, scoring eight goals and providing one assist.
