Substituted at half-time in PSG’s match against Nice last weekend, striker Randal Kolo Muani is now contemplating a change of scenery. The Parisians are also open to a sale during the winter transfer window.
“I could have easily made five changes at half-time. No problem. I could have easily made five players, but I only made one and that was it.” Last Sunday, after his team’s draw against Nice, Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique explained his decision to substitute Randal Kolo Muani at half-time. The French striker remained on the bench and was replaced by Korean Lee Kang-In.
Although he continues to offer quite remarkable performances with the French national team, the reality is that the striker is not yet decisive with the Parisian team. The Bondy native was recruited in 2023 for no less than €90 million and in this period he has only been able to score 11 goals and six assists in 49 official matches.
The situation
Recognizing that he is not a key player in Lucho’s plans despite his occasional starting appearances, the striker is now seriously considering the possibility of, according to L’Equipe, exploring new opportunities during the upcoming winter transfer market.
The PSG management is not opposed to his departure, but it is clear that, given the substantial investment made, they will only approve his exit on terms that are financially beneficial and that allow them to subsequently search for a new striker to fill his position.
