Real Madrid’s chief scout, the well-known Juni Calafat, has three players in his sights who compete for Tottenham: right-back Pedro Porro and centre-backs Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven.
After seven games this season, Tottenham finds itself in a disappointing ninth place in the Premier League. The Spurs have only managed to gather 10 points, with three wins and one draw, leaving them eight points adrift of the current leaders, Liverpool.
Despite their struggles, up to three of their players have caught the attention of Real Madrid. According to Defensa Central, the club’s head scout, Juni Calafat, is closely monitoring right-back Pedro Porro (25) along with centre-backs Cristian Romero (26) and Micky van de Ven (23).
Timely replacements It’s not surprising that Real Madrid is keeping tabs on these players. Porro could serve as a replacement for the injured Dani Carvajal, while Romero and van de Ven would be perfect additions to strengthen a defense that has been depleted following Nacho Fernández’s departure.
Although it is not known whether the Madrid club will consider casting its nets on any of them during the winter transfer market, the reality is that getting them out of the London club will not be easy or cheap. All three have a valid contract and are indispensable for Ange Postecoglou, so their signing will inevitably involve paying a high amount.
