Real Madrid is set to start discussions to renew Dani Carvajal’s contract, and the seasoned defender is eager to extend his stay.
“I want to remain here for as long as I can, but I have to be realistic. If I ever feel I’m not performing at my best, I’ll step aside. The club and the president are the ones who make the decisions. Currently, the club’s policy is to renew contracts annually for players who reach a certain age. As far as I’m concerned, I don’t foresee any issues.”
Recently, Dani Carvajal made it clear that he is fully committed to renewing his contract with Real Madrid. He has essentially put the ball in the club’s court, urging them to initiate talks promptly to secure his future.
Real Madrid Set to Begin Negotiations for Right-Back Amid Carvajal’s Future Plans
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Chamartín club is expected to reach out to the right-back’s representatives soon to kick off the necessary negotiations. Given the mutual interest, it appears that an agreement will be reached quickly.
Regardless of the outcome, Carvajal is firm in his stance that if he ever leaves Real Madrid, he won’t join a team that could potentially compete against the Chamartín club. Thus, if he chooses to switch teams before retiring, it will likely be outside of Europe.
